Adapted from the novel by J.L. Carr, A Month in the Country is a radio play by Dave Sheasby, his last before his death. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 20 November 2010, as an installment of the Saturday Play. The duration was 60 minutes[1].
Plot[]
WW1 survivor Tom Birkin spends a summer uncovering a medieval mural in the Yorkshire village of Oxgodby. Here he discovers treasures, riches he thought the war had blown away for ever.
