Plot[]
Max, a social misfit, is steward on a yacht owned by Sir Ronald and Lady Pinn who are descended from most of the royal families of Europe. Max is a refugee and does not take well to his menial work and Sir Ronald solves his problem by taking him to an island off the coast of South America. Sir Ronald virtually owns this island, which is currently having a revolution. The revolutionaries threatens to shoot Sir Ronald but he outwits them by giving them Max as their constitutional monarch. This satire on the possible continuing usefulness of constitutional monarchy contains less of the usual soliloquy to be found in Cooper's plays, but it still contains a subtlety which makes it peculiarly attractive on radio.
