Gormenghast is a radio play by Brian Sibley, based on the novel by Mervyn Peake It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1984. The running time is 90 minutes. It won a Sony Award for Best Production.
Plot[]
Set in the isolated and voluminous Gormenghast Castle, the story follows the journey to adulthood of Titus Groan, 77th Earl and Lord of Gormenghast, in tandem with the rise to power of the ruthlessly ambitious Steerpike. An epic gothic fantasy populated with Dickensian grotesques.
