Harbour Hotel cast in 1975

Harbour Hotel was a long-running radio soap which was broadcast at lunchtimes on RTÉ Radio. The series run from 1975 until 28 December 1990.

The soap is set in the fishing village of Kilmahon between Arklow and Skibbereen.

Chris Curran was Gabriel Murphy, Barbara McCaughey was Kathryn O'Connell, Daphne Carroll was Mrs Doyle and Brendan Cauldwell was Jack McCann, and Cathryn Brennan as Elisabeth.

Tim Danaher came up with the idea for the series and suggested Lee Dunne as scriptwriter. PJ O’Connor and Patrick Maguire worked out the basis of the series with Noel Jones as script editor. RTÉ radio producer Frank O’Dwyer came up with the name for the series.

The programme was written by Lee Dunne. The script editor was Noel Jones and produced by Frank O’Dwyer.
