The 78s is a radio play by David Zane Mairowitz. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 21 July 2000, as an installment of the Friday Play[1].

Music can speak as powerfully as ever, even through the hiss and crackle of 78rpm records. An old man, apparently beyond communication, sits in a nursing home. His son, searching for his father's priceless collection of records, attempts to jog the man's memory.
